Bidrage med feedbackWe usually use the Grosvenor but thought we would give Lucy’s a try and do you know it pretty good and much better value.
We came here on our last day at Norwich, and ordered a medium chips, the battered tofu sausage, battered vegan halloumi and a pea fritter. (we wanted mushy peas but they were in one of the separate Lucy stalls in the market). All of this was plenty for the two of us to share and I was impressed by the amount of vegan options they had on the menu usually in these places you can see the banana blossom fish but not much else! The chips were nice and the battered items were greasy but in a good way like usual fish and chips style. My favourite was the battered tofu sausage, the vegan halloumi was good (think like takeaway fried cheese type of vibes, kinda like cheddar), and the pea fritter was OK but I wouldn 't order it again. I would recommend going out of the market to eat, we went further into town and sat on the grass instead of being surrounded by people and pigeons. The day we went the market was super busy, but still got served pretty quick! Definitely would recommend a visit if you have that fish chips urge in Norwich!
Horrid service rude used to go here often but never again after chucking a bottle of water at us when we asked for our water that she forgotten no sorry about that just attitude.
One rainy afternoon, we unexpectedly found this fantastic small market restaurant with a variety of vegan and plant-based choices. We tried the battered tofu burger, fishless fingers and chips, all of which were delicious. The staff member who served us was friendly and welcoming, making our experience even more enjoyable.
