Second time in as many months that we have tried to eat here. went on fathers day as we wanted to sit by the river and eat. website says it is open, arrived in car park at 1pm and met with a large pile of manure dumped 20 yards from the terrace. pub locked up, no notices to explain why. met a party of walkers who had just arrived also wondering what was going on. we had a short drive to another pub for lunch and met these same walkers some 90 mins later. great location, shame the owners are useless at running a business.

This place will remind one of the movie Wrong Turn. It is unbelievable. After was felt like a quarter mile of not even a dirt track, this place comes into view. An absolute dump. We were lucky it was closed although web site said it was open! Some chap watering the plants didn’t know the opening hours or even when it was open next. Wouldn’t attempt to visit again.

Lovely place, so much potential here to be an amazing place to go. We have been in the last few weeks and it was very quiet but staff very friendly, welcoming and kind. No food at the moment but hopefully will be in the summer season. Although there is such a massive amount of choice on the menu and would probably be better a lot less on the menu and make a really food job of a few things rather than trying to do everything!!! This place could be amazing x

Visited the pub on Sunday 25th Sept 2022 to find pub was permanently closed, although there were dirty wine glasses on the step outside main entrance door. From local knowledge this pub opens and closes periodically without notice. It is pot luck whether it is open when you visit, wouldn't advise a special journey though. Looked to be new decking being laid to the side of premises, so something is happening, no notices displayed to advise if re-opening is planned. Is on a beautiful stretch of the River Yare but approaching via road it is very disappointing, looks as though a scrapyard or beginnings of one are happening on the side of the road and also static caravans being sited, spoils the area totally. Also, the road is very uneven, broken in some parts, care is needed along here.
