Bidrage med feedbackWe were exited to try out newly opened Godavari in Norwalk ,CT.. As expected there was huge crowd (as it was 2nd day after opening).. If anyone craving for authentic Andra (Spicy) food this place doesn't disappoint you.. Lot of veg and non veg menu items on lunch buffet.. The Kharvas|Junnu|Ginnu desert they served was really yummy. Trimming a 1 star for ok ambience.
Very yummy and spicy food. Definitely better than paradise. Little pricy, which comes with quality and taste. Ambiance is okay. One of the best restaurants around Stamford second to India avenue. Though its popular for non veg my personal favorite is Ghee roast :
I don't know what others were complaining about, it is hands down the one of the best South Indian, nay Indian restaurants. Sunday buffet has tons of options, at a very reasonable price. As for the wait time, I don't find it surprising. You'd find people waiting only when the food is good.
One and only favorite Indian restaurant in Norwalk ...! We've tried most of the restaurants in the Stamford area and Godavari is the one we keep coming back to. I love their lunch buffet because you can try a little bit of everything and its delicious! Its perfect for someone who is trying Indian food for the first time. We were also pleasantly surprised with their dinner service a menu full of intriguing entrees, the food we ordered was excellent food and my wife and parents says its pretty much spot on for authenticity. The service has always been very attentive whenever we've been there. As for value, entrees are about $10 but in my opinion well worth it, we've always left full and very satisfied. In the weekend they have special items. I loved it.
Their Chole bhature is the bomb! Great food.
