Bidrage med feedbackVisited here today with a friend for lunch having nor been for a number of years. The cafe in its decor is starting to look a little tired and dated. My friend ordered a sandwich with chips and I opted for soup with a cheese score. Sandwich arrived minus chips and my soup with scone and one pat of butter! Requested another but wish I hadn't bothered, though whilst soup was lovely the scone was stodgy and extemely bland. Paid bill which I wish I had queried as believe charged for missing chips. Mediocre affair, I won't be back and must try harder in current times with better competitors available.
This restaurant has a nice community atmosphere and is in a good location. However, the food is overpriced (such as £2.75 for supermarket oven chips) and not very fresh (stale bread, mushy cod). Additionally, the hot food was served at different times to our group and we had to chase up missing items and condiments that had already been requested. Overall, the quality and service of this restaurant let down its good location.
This charming restaurant was a delight, despite the fact that hot food service had ended so the staff could celebrate New Year's Eve. They prepared a fantastic prawn sandwich that was absolutely delicious. The service was lovely and the food was fantastic.
Called for late brekkie/brunch. Went to counter asked to go back to table 'someone ' would be across to take order. Left after 25 mins as no-one came. Ladies on next table advised us on our way out that they had same experience. They must have more patience around poor service.. wont revisit
Lovely hot food, quaint premises, friendly serving staff, only downside was cook barking very loudly at staff, I understand keeping staff informed but the volume needs to be lowered,as it made customers feel uncomfortable.
