Kosar's Wood-fired Grill - Northfield

The meal was enjoyable; I ordered the prime rib and fries. I found it a bit pricey, but overall, it was good. Still, I'd prefer Ken Stewart's.

Took out of town guest to Kosars on 10/24. She wanted to buy dinner. After being seated, the bus boy spilled ice water on my husbands lap. He was so embarrassed and we didn?t blame him. Then the waiter took our orders. We waited a very long time and not once did he come to the table to apologize for the wait or ask if we wanted more drinks. Finally, the appetizers came and they were tasty (hence 2stars) Then we again waited and waited. When dinners arrived, they were cold and my husband?s steak overdone. Waiter never came to table to ask if everything was ok. Now, it?s late and we didn?t want to send food back because we had to leave soon. My guest paid over $200 for an inferior meal and arrogant waiter.

The meal was great except for the salt on the steak, it was excessive. I ate there several months ago and the steak was perfect . People can always add salt at the table. I am disappointed that a restaurant at this price range would over season their food. A $49.0 0 filet should stand on its own.

Excellent experience! We hosted a birthday party for 17 people in a private room. All the meals arrived simultaneously, and each dish was delicious and varied! The service was outstanding. We were very satisfied!

I ordered the prime rib with mashed potatoes and mushrooms, but everything was cold, even though the restaurant had just opened at 4 PM. There's no excuse for that. The prime rib was tough and difficult to cut and chew. It was truly disappointing considering the price. I could have gotten a better meal at a buffet. Bernie, I suggest you take a closer look at your restaurant; the experience was quite poor.
