Bidrage med feedbackWhen I first came here, I ordered the veganized dan noodle and was served meat. the second time I had a long conversation with not one, not two, but three of the workers who work here before it became very clear that they have no idea what the difference between vegan and vegetarian is. I have always asked for vegan dishes, then it is said vegetarian. it seems that the dan dan noodles are not inflatable, but so the vegetarian version should also be vegan by default. at least as far as I could say. eating is great. it is a pain, but they must go through all the tired rigmarole of listing no egg, no milk, no meat', although the menu recognizes that there are vegan and vegetarian options.
I love munchy monk! there is a set of options to choose and it is all intended for exchange. I have eaten everything vegan on the menu and I recommend definitiw the crispy monk dumplings and the vegan dan nudeln. would like to see that more options are added as the offers are all quite similar. going here is a great option with people who are not vegan as they are very appealing vegan dishes. most of my friends love it! pretty expensive for what it is and the menu therefore rarely changes the options can be a little repetitiw, but always back
Visited here with a non-veg family friend tonight and ordered the vegetarian version of the dan nudeln. the menu says it is vegetarian, but it is also vegan. how good the nuds have sneaked up the gravure! the heat does not immediately meet their taste buds, but dwells once. I think they could have been a bit more generous with the beats, although, as there was no difference in the price between the veg and non-veg nudels. I also think that the question between $14-15 for 7 knödel is expensive. that said it is a solid option. munchy monk could be one of those places where the menu is better designed for sharing a bit of everything.
Visited here with a non-veg family friend tonight and ordered the vegetarian version of the Dan Dan noodles. The menu says it's vegetarian but it's also vegan as well. Really liked how well the noodles soaked up the gravy! The heat doesn't hit your tastebuds straightaway but lingers once it does. I think they could have been a bit more generous with the toppings though, considering there was no difference in price between the veg and non-veg noodles. I also think that asking between $14-15 for 7 dumplings is pricey. Having said that, it's definitely a solid option. Munchy Monk might be one of those places where the menu is better designed for sharing a bit of everything.
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. When I ordered the veganized Dan Noodle, I was served meat instead. After a long conversation with three staff members, it became clear that they did not understand the difference between vegan and vegetarian. Despite requesting a vegan meal, I was consistently asked if I wanted a vegetarian option. It seems that the Dan Dan noodles should be vegan by default, as they are not made with egg noodles. The food itself was delicious, but it was frustrating to have to repeatedly specify that I wanted no egg, milk, or meat in my meal. The menu offers vegan and vegetarian options, but it is a hassle to ensure that your meal is prepared correctly.
