Bidrage med feedbackThey have relocated, but me being me I typed it into google maps and it still shows they’re at Derngate which they’re not, they have moved to Wellingborough Road next to Sainsbury’s (it does state on their website. I rang them and told them the situation, they were completely understanding. We were greeted by a friendly server, she was casual and professional and made us feel at ease. We had two cocktails and both were espresso martinis and they were spot on. A minor criticism, we were seated by the window which was fine for both of us, but the table was a quite wobbly. But that didn’t ruin our evening together. The menu had so many good choices, they all sounded so appealing and you can tell it’s made with fresh ingredients. We tried 8 of the main dishes out of 14 to chose from, one word for all of them: Fautless. We tried the two of the desserts as well and what I can say they hit it out of the park. We’ve tried plenty of churros in our life and they were top notch. The waitress who was serving us (big shout out to her for amazing service, lady with big earring and upper lip piercing) she checked back on our main food which is a bug bear of mine. Towards the end of the evening, the music did get a bit loud, I suppose the evening was turning to night, but that didn’t bother us as our meal was coming to the end. The decor is a mix of everything, but not a select style as such but it’s got a nice ambience and friendly vibe. Song choices were good too. I can’t wait to come back.
I made a reservation for March 9th via email on February 5th and received confirmation. Upon arrival, we were seated at our table and enjoyed delicious drinks and food. However, we were abruptly asked to leave as the restaurant had double booked our table. Despite explaining that we still had drinks to finish and planned to order more food, we were pressured to show proof of our reservation. After a stressful 5 minutes, we were able to provide the email confirmation, which was then photographed by the waitress. Meanwhile, the table next to us left without paying due to poor service. When I requested to speak with the manager, he was rude and dismissive of our concerns. Despite the enjoyable food and pleasant waitstaff, the manager's behavior soured our experience at the restaurant. Although we have dined at Foodies in the past, we will not be returning and cannot recommend it to others. It is unfortunate that such delicious food is overshadowed by unprofessional management.
This restaurant is located in a charming part of the town center with a unique concept that makes dining here a fun experience. The service was excellent and the food, while not outstanding, was still enjoyable. The menu offers a wide variety of choices, although it might be overwhelming for some.
We went as a family of 4. There is nothing for children. Most of the food is pretty bland. The dishes are expensive. I think we should sum it up by saying we visited McDonald's afterwards. The dishes looked good. The staff were friendly. Being sat by the toilet wasn't a great experience.
The restaurant has been open for a few years now and only operates in the evening. Despite this, it remains a cool spot with great food, interesting guests, friendly staff, and good music.
