Bidrage med feedbackThe whole family got a lot of different dresses to try (hallibut and chips, haggis, tattie scones, mushy bäse, sticky toffee pudding.) eating was absolutely delicious and authentic. the staff was incredibly nice and the service was fast. in any case recommend!
Why did they change the cod? it looks like giant fish sticks. I wonder if it's frozen. the waitress said they cut it so that the battery adheres better. I don't agree. friends were like that.
Only pulled toronto and we are on the hunt after big fish chips. that is our second attempt. the fish share was good and fleshy, but the teig was a bit too heavy. the chips weren't great, and the wobble rings. the first place we tried was much better. I'm sorry high street, but with this pretty average offer we will try to find others.
My wife and I have been going ti High Street for dozens of years. In the last 4 or so years the quality of the fish has been going downhill; now to the point I cannot recommend it. The Halibut is supposed to be from...Nova Scotia, but I suspect it came by slow boat from Rangoon over a multitude of decades, It and the cod were tasteless and hard.
This fish and chip restaurant is one of the best that I have had. I was introduced to this place about 4 yrs ago and have been going ever since we normally go with a group which sometimes becomes a bit of a wait but...we’ll wo it . There homemade meat pies are so tasty and authentic. Give this place a try you won’t be disappointed.. Get there early specially on Fridays .
