Wing Ho Chinese Restaurant

So far in my search for canadian Chinese food this place is one of the better ones. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavors and freshness. I felt a bit gross in an I had too much grease and msg afterwards type way but that's somewhat par for the course here. I will order again.

Canadianized Chinese food. I've been a couple of times (whenever i'm in the area). Not quite a hole in the wall but not a fancy place. However the prices are decent and the food is excellent. One of my favorites is the deep friend squid with spicy salt. That spicy salt is so addicting! The sweet and sour soup is good too perfect for a cold day.

Came here a couple of times many years ago when we lived on the Lower Mainland. Since we moved away I almost forgot about. We were heading home on a ferry and had a couple hours to kill so I decided to look for this place again. The back entry area needs to be updated but once you get inside the restaurant it's fine. We had some nice beef and veg. dish and some chicken chow mien. Both were very good, the wonton soup was excellent and the spring rolls were good as well. I told my husband to make sure he stops here next time he is in town and bring some home.

My mom went here to order half crispy chicken but when it was served my mom notice that the chicken is not freshly cooked only re heated. She questioned the lady owner about the quality of the chicken and the resounding reply was because she only ordered half chicken they would have to dispose of the ones they have from yesterday and then rudely remarked they only serve freshly cook chicken for whole orders. Please don't go to this place they should be shut down as they are a public health hazard.

This place is actually not bad! The restaurant itself looks old and run down but the food and price is actually not bad at all! Portions are good.
