Orange Door Cantonese & Szechuan Restaurant

This is a hidden gem. If you choose to do pickup don’t be put off by the kitchen, the food is great!

This place is take out only so I phoned in an order for pick up. When I arrived I was disgusted at how run down the place is and the fact it didn't seem to be very clean. I'm not sure how they pass the health department checks. I picked up a combo meal and it was marginal at best. It was greasy and bland and quite disappointing. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else.

Promised 40 minutes for delivery but took 90 mins. Missing order items. Awful old dry tasteless food. Chicken was raw! Never again.

Every time I order from the Orange Door I don't just think of the nights meal I think of tomorrow's lunch too! My wife and I were fortunate enough that I found the Orange Door online shortly after moving to North Vancouver in 2013. The Crispy Chop Sui, Spicy Salt and Pepper Octopus, Dried Boneless Pork and everything else we have had has always been tasty and the portions great. The older woman and the young guy who take orders are great and always friendly and fun to chat with on pick-up. And you will never see a kitchen full of old Chinese men cooking up such a storm anywhere. Orange Door your alley location off 2nd and Lonsdale is just amazing and you food is wonderful. This is not a comment on the quality or quantity of the food. We ordered a few dishes on New Years Day, expecting a delay. We were told an hour and a half for delivety and planned in advance. After two hours we called and were advised it would be another one half hour wink, wink, nudge, nudge. Love the food but someone needs to deal with the logistics.
