Butter Lane Bake Shop - North Vancouver

I love afternoon tea so it’s great that there is a local place to do that here at the Quay! However, the value for money is poor, paying nearly $25 for three finger sandwiches, two small baked items and a single cup of tea. The tea was very nice, and the sandwiches were tasty, but very small. They had sold out of scones by just after noon.While renovations at the Quay certainly play a role in this, having no plates or tea pots or designated seating made the experience feel cheap, especially with the cost of food to quantity of food ratio. Service was good, and it was very nice that they made the sandwiches fresh! I hate to be too harsh on the staff who were pleasant, it is really the atmosphere and pricing that the lower rating reflects.

I ordered a cake from here for my birthday and it was delicious! I ordered online and had confirmation the next day so the entire process was super quick! The cake itself was super fluffy and had just the right amount of cake to icing ratio. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

Best cake I've ever had! We had Butter Lane create our wedding cake for our June 2022 wedding. We sampled a few of their delicious flavours and landed on their Lemon Meringue. We ordered a small two tiered cake to officially cut during our reception. They worked with our florist to add flowers to the cake that matched our wedding bouquets.We also had two layered sheet cake to serve our guests. Everyone absolutely loved it! It was talked about for weeks after the wedding. We will definitely be getting more cakes from them in the future.

I dont know why the reviews are so low and I honestly don't care to read why! This place is amaaaazing! I have been several times and evertime I go I fall in love with the staff and the sweets. I personally am not a fan of sweets but when a craving hits this is my go to now.I got the gluten free, vegan cupcake (and I'm niether) and it was honestly the best cupcake I have had. . Don't knock it till you try it, and I recommend trying it ?

Despite some initial miscommunication, they ended up creating and providing me with some amazing cookie cream tarts. The tarts were not only delicious, but absolutely beautiful too. Thank you!
