Lindy's Tavern - North Smithfield

Lindy's is our go to when we return from vacation. We went today, but we were disappointed. Their French fries have needed improvement for a while, but I held off on a review hoping they would get better. They used to be fresh cut tasted great. They apparently switched to frozen quite a while ago, and today the taste was off too. It was obvious that they had been sitting under heat lights and not fresh cooked to order. No more fries for me until they go back to fresh cut/fresh cooked!!

Been here many times over the years but overall it’s gone downhill. Hostess just stared at us with no greeting and appeared to just have an attitude. Fried Clams were huge when we were told they were small. Lobster roll was good but fries were cold. We won’t be back

The food here is always great and the portions are HUGE. Fresh seafood, big slabs of prime rib. I highly recommend the stuffies (Portuguese style), which are also huge and very filling, so don't order too many or you'll be full before your entree arrives. The atmosphere is a bar/pub and it's very casual and more than a little loud, which is why I held back 1 star for that. But I do highly recommend

We went to Lindy’s for dinner tonight. They never disappoint. I had oysters for an appetizer. They were huge fresh and delicious! We both had the prime rib . Lindy’s cut $21.99. Cooked medium rare, tender and delicious! The waitress came and checked on us at least 3-4 times, she was amazing. If you’ve never been you need to go! Everything is delicious and cooked to perfection… It is a little loud tho…. I give food and service 5 stars!!!!

90 dollars Whole belly clams Fishermans plater 1/2 doz clam cakes. Awesome food except the clam cake were raw . Yep outside cooked but the insides raw had to toss in trash. To big, not enough juice in batter lack of corn starch. Recipe is just wrong. Hopefully they fix it because everything else was wonderful.
