Tavern The Village - North Scituate

Best local dine/bar. Not upscale, but elevated food. If you're in the neighborhood, this is an absolute must go.

The food is inconsistent with a bias towards the low end of the scale. And when you suggest they missed the mark, they don't care.

To date the best steak sandwich I have had anywhere. Delicious filet sandwich and the fries were also delicious. We will be coming back for more. Our bartender was attentive and personable. Although it's a small place it is quaint and worth waiting for a seat.

Regulars, regulars, regulars, if you're a regular, you're all set here. But if you're not, your glass will remain empty until they decide to fill it. Have tried this place several times, and still feel uncomfortable. Won't go back again, but the sad part is they don't care. It's the only place town.

The beet salad exceeded our expectations; it was delicious, and the dressing paired beautifully with the beets. The Thai dumplings were larger than we anticipated, and the accompanying sauces complemented them perfectly—they could easily be a meal on their own. The fig chicken flatbread was incredibly flavorful as well. The crab cakes were a crowd-pleaser too. Despite the busy bar, the bartender and server managed everything seamlessly. There was also plenty of parking available. We will definitely be returning!
