Riscky's -b-q - North Richland Hills

I visit this restaurant regularly, and it never disappoints! The prices are typically around $20 for two people if you order baskets or plates. They even accommodated us with a small catering order for our wedding. Although they're usually closed on Sundays, they kindly let us pick up our food the day before, so all we had to do was heat it up and enjoy. It still tasted incredibly fresh and delicious!

With that in mind, I ordered the smoked chicken basket, which includes fries, for an incredibly reasonable price of $6.99. The chicken had the expected smoky flavor and was tasty, although it was a bit dry overall, suggesting that this might not be one of their strong points. The fries were hot, flavorful, and nicely sliced—not at all soggy. I decided to dip the fries in the BBQ sauce to give it a try. The sauce itself was a bit thin and lacked a distinct flavor. I believe that great barbecue often doesn't need sauce, but it can certainly enhance the meal if done right. Unfortunately, it felt like an afterthought at Riscky's. Overall, I'm excited to return and try different meats and sides on my next visits!

Not Too Shabby. A friend of mine has been raving about their 6 for $5 special, so I decided to give it a try today. It’s a fantastic deal for the price, and the sandwiches are a good size. I was full after just two! The BBQ has a nice smoky flavor. If I had to find a minor fault, I would say they could have included some BBQ sauce. Overall, I was very pleased and will definitely return.

GOT A GREAT DEAL ON CHOPPED BEEF SANDWICHES. These are some of the old timers in the bbq world of DFW...this little outpost of smoke is very good. they got the idea that beef brisket should be juicy and smokey...not like your mother's day old roast...try them and enjoy...4 links of 5

Got the brisket plate with double green beans and potato salad. Not a fan of the salad. Was mixed with relish and pimentos and it was just too tangy even for me. The green beans were from a can so ........the brisket was nice and tender. The fat was delicious and melted in with the meat. Good grub
