Bidrage med feedbackBeautiful beach, my favorite now. Our room was updated and clean. Highly recommend the top floor gulf view, pricey but worth it. Restaurant on site as well as a tiki bar. You can rent chairs and umbrellas from a private company which is nice because we didn't have to drag ours around. That guy rents them for a mile stretch, so the people complaining that you have to pay should be grateful they are even there. Parking, that's a different story. The rooms aren't cheap, and parking should be included. There's a Dunkin just down the road! Surf Style across the street! And Burrito Social 2 blocks over, which had AMAZING food!
What a gem. This smaller beach resort ?️ hotel is all one needs to feel at paradise in Florida. The staff was super helpful, restaurant was great, bar staff was amazing, and the person who rents beach chairs also works with Hilton so you can put it on the room and earn those points ?. The photo is from our room’s balcony on the 6th floor.
I stayed here with my GF the week of 8/7 8/11I was initially worried because of some of the other reviews I read.We had a Gulf View room on the top floor.Parking was simple underneath the hotel or in the parking lot directly in front of the entrance. Parking is $20 a day added to your bill. Reasonable. Always spots available during my stay. The checkin process was simple and I had zero issues with any of the staff. Pleasant people.First “issue” was the elevator. They are on the slower side like other people say. It wasn’t a huge issue, really. Sometimes the card doesn’t work properly but I’ve had the same issue elsewhere. Use the Hilton app and you can access your room that way if it is really a big deal for you.The room was great. The view was amazing. The cleaning crew did a really really good job making sure there was no sand anywhere in the hotel. It really was clean. The bed was comfortable. I like my pillows on the very soft side but that’s my preference. The balcony was nice and the view of the sunset at night made it worth the price.Breakfast onsite is at the Mangos resteraunt. You are given a voucher for each person in your room for each day. The food is good (nothing amazing, but you will be saving money and time eating here instead of driving out each morning). I enjoyed the Tahitian Toast a lot.The pool was nice to have and you can just sit on the chairs and watch the beach of you wanted to. It is apparently heated and they do not turn it off during summer , from what I overheard the one employee say they keep it at 83 degrees which feels like that shouldn’t be done if it is true. But with how hot it is outside I can’t imagine the pool would be much cooler anyways. It is a decent pool though. And it’s nice that it’s right on the beach, instead of on the front of the hotel like some are.The tiki bar was cool to have.I want to mention the hotel lobbies shop normally I don’t even look at these since the prices are so inflated. Not here. You’ll save money and time just getting stuff from the hotel lobbies shop if you need anything. Snacks, drinks, beer, Red Bulls, hats, etc.I really can’t say anything bad about this place. They will be renovating In September so I’m sure it’ll be even nicer when it’s done.Seriously I don’t understand some of the other reviews. Maybe I have different expectations than other people or I am way less bougie, but I loved my time here. The beach Infront of the hotel was super nice. We drove south to look at the other beaches and I was relieved to see that north Redington beaches were muchhhhh nicer and smoother than Treasure Island or St Pete. We also drove up to Clearwater beach which was going to be the other option that we picked. Like the other reviewer mentioned , it was like a zoo up there on the beach. Packed, noisy, and just anxiety inducing. I mention this to drive home how quiet and relaxing the doubletree location was.The location of the hotel was convenient in that you had plenty of options around you for shopping. Do yourself a favor and go to Winn Dixie/Publix/Walmart and get yourself some gallons of water and some sunscreen.Check out Aloha To Go in Indian Shore for some great Hawaiian bbq.The staff was awesome and very helpful.I would absolutely stay here again.Get the top floor gulf view, it’s worth it.
The only thing great about my stay was the fact that the Beach was a couple of steps away. Overall, this hotel was okay. Their food was not flavorful at all but rather dry or too salty. If you want something good to eat you will probably have to go back over the bridge or drive 12-15 minutes away to a decent restaurant. The elevators wait time was about no more than eight minutes which sucks. The rooms are really stuffy with markings and holes on their sheets. Service was alright it would be helpful if they had more people to assist. Lastly, they should really fix their air conditioning vents. It drips from the ceiling which can become a safety hazard. The beach itself is nice but I wouldn’t come back to this hotel at all.
We were pleasantly surprised with our stay here. It’s an older building but well maintained and the pool was scrubbed and chemically balanced every morning, we were really impressed. Beds and pillows were very comfortable, staff was super friendly and quick to help out. We also enjoyed Mangos food and the friendly service we received there everyday. Best part we were on the beach daily and enjoyed the pool. This made for a fabulous long weekend
