Zio's Twelve 21 Pizzeria - North Port

We went to the Twelve 21 of NEW Zio for lunch. We are regular customers of Zios – together with their pizzas since the day they opened four years ago. We have observed that they are going through sales after the turnover of four new owners, but I can honestly say that these are the best owners to boot with excellent customer service. Chef Darren and Dawn are a great duo, and the food was amazing. Usually we get the Zios special pizza (always our favorites have eaten at least 50 over the years), and I can tell you that this is the best pizza we have ever been there. I told Darren: “It’s hard to improve perfection, but this pizza did it.” It has many large, rugged vegetables along with all the specialties meat. The crust was crispy and light, and it was really perfect. Today we had the fetters Alfredo with shrimps that came with a side salad. We upgraded a Caesar salad with homemade dressing. OMG, yum! We forgot to make pictures because we inhaled it. The pasta was so creamy! The portions were huge, and we took residues home tomorrow. All I can say is that Chef Darren and Dawn are making the best cigar we still had. We live nearby and eat there regularly. Watch their Facebook page as they try out many new ideas for specials. Specially, check their Friday evening specials with Prime Rib and Pasta. But, come early! So happy to have another great restaurant in North Port!

We just had lunch in the new Zios Twelve 21. You are under new property and boy was good!! I was hungry for a piece of pizza, but our server Dawn told us about her Wednesday special. A big cake with a topping for the price of a medium. Only $9.99 and it was fantastic! We took her advice and ordered the sausage. It was super delicious. The crust was absolutely perfect as I like it. Thin and crispy. The cheese was excellent with the right amount of sauce. I'm so glad this place is near me. No more trips to Port Charlotte - this is my new pizza heaven!! You also have a great, first-class ribbing dinner every Friday, which I cannot wait to try. My neighbor said it was amazing! Great work Zios!!!
