Bidrage med feedbackIn the hotel so decided to eat on the first night in the hotel know that it was the first night of the opening big appetizers, the black bauch was crispy and had a large fresh apfelsalat. the garnels were juicy and well joined together main was. a fish cake that was excellent with the naughty tip. my wife had the cake that was disappointed when the bark was chewing. another hour in the pan needed to soften. veggies cooked perfectly I had rhe chocolate and celestial tart it so needed the celestial ice to cut through the rich chocolate. so close to fabulous
The food was ok and the prices were not inappropriate, but the service was just terrible. in the bar we waited for our appetizer drinks. then on our table and left with menus. no mention from the specials. 20 minutes later. Eat and a bottle of wine. the starters came and eaten. no sign of wein, they had forgotten to order it! that's just poor, you have to make the basics right and I'm not convinced that eating was not frozen.
On a positive note, breakfast at the Saracens Head was much better, with a good selection and a tasty full English breakfast. It seems that many restaurants are struggling in the current climate, which may have affected our experience at Frazer's.
The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, comfortable seating options, a wonderful ambiance, and delicious food. There are plenty of outdoor seats by a small pond, and the restrooms are clean.
We were excited to come here. In the past, it was absolutely THE PLACE to come for really good food. The prices urge you to expect that standard. We had a veggie burger (choice for vegetarians is not great) which was not flavoursome and also...crumbled apart easily. The others had steaks which were not well cooked. The chicken dish was just about okay. It was an absolute let down. Lots of things on the menu were unavailable, including our first choices of food. Staff breezed about as if on their own little missions and diners were an inconvenience to be endured. It was supposed to be a special occasion but turned out to be a damp squib in every way.
