Shamiana Indian Restaurant

Great little place, food was fantastic and amazing service. Went there with family, everyone loved it.

Shamiana is a little gem in Narrabeen! It recently changed management and is now run by a young Indian couple (with an adorable daughter!) Most Indian restaurants generally taste the same, but this one blew us away! Everything we ordered was great- fresh and bursting with flavor. Even the papadam starter was nothing like I have had before. Service was great! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area or living in the neighborhood (they do deliveries as well.)

We love eating at this restaurant. Service is great & food is delicious. The restaurant has had a face lift after the floods in 2016 so atmosphere is nice. It is the restaurant of choice for our family birthday celebrations as everybody enjoys their meals and walks away feeling they have received value for money.

Well worth the visit, staff are charming and the food is absolutely delicious. We have tried most of the menu options and have not been let down wash it all down with a glass of Kingfisher Ale

What a delightful meal ! Booked in the morning, although it was quiet for some reason (suspect Sydney Winter was to blame). The lovely man looking after us was very quietly spoken but hugely polite and genuine. We ordered the lamp chops and mashed potato balls to share (can't remember their name), both delicious! Then came the mains of Butter Chicken, Spinach Lamb (the favourite) and the Lamb Gosht. We hadn't realised until later that night we'd had a takeaway from there before with almost the same meal! Needless to say the food was authentic and really lovely tasting. Plenty of rice and the aloo naan bread was heavenly ! When they found out it was my birthday, we even got some free Indian doughnuts, they didn't last long !It's not 5-stars because it did keep getting a little windy when the huge sliding door opens, but definitely 5-star food (and I'm sure that door can be replaced !!!)
