Mr Friendly’s And Lounge

We enjoyed our meal at Mr Friendly's. The Shrimp and Grits were wonderful as was the Spotted Trout. We finished with apple egg rolls that were amazing. The hostess and wait staff were friendly and very efficient. It was a lovely evening!

We had never been to Columbia South Carolina and we flew in from California. Followed restaurant recommendations from Instagram accounts. We made a reservation for Valentines Day. Our waitress was lovely and when we asked what Pimento Cheese is, she smiled behind her mask and said, You 're not from around here, are you? Then the owner?manager? came to our table and said, so, I hear this is your first time? and brought us a taste of collard greens (we 've never had it) and the pimento cheese. Our food was great and the atmosphere was FRIENDLY. I would go back for sure and recommend to everyone.

My wife and I returned for another visit and Mr, Friendly’s does not disappoint. The staff is Covid conscious and very professional. The fried oyster app is the best anywhere. My wife had the catfish and she said it was really good. I had shrimp and grits with both the tomato creole sauce and Tasso gravy sauce and everything was excellent. A bottle of Frank Family Chardonnay complemented everything very well. We will certainly return.

We are long-time fans of Mr. Friendly’s! They always have fantastic food and outstanding service. The owners of Mr. Friendly’s are serious about COVID safety for their customers by requiring masks, taking temperatures and spacing tables at least 6 feet apart. Thank you for providing such a wonderful dining experience while keeping your customers safe!

Would e helpful for someone traveling from out of town to know if they’re open. Wasn’t anything about them being closed for cleaning??? We waisted a trip for nothing, thanks.
