Bidrage med feedbackVisited with friends for lunch. Meal was OK,but received no milk with hot drinks. Went to ask for some, staff didn't speak, seemed quite disgruntled about it. Lots of tables were not cleared during our time there, including ours. Cakes very over priced,so didn't purchase. £3.99 for a small brownie,£2.99 for a small egg custard. Won't be rushing back. Think they need to employ more staff at lunchtime.
I only wanted a coffee, but after waiting for 15 minutes and seeing customers who arrived after me being served before me, I decided to leave. I am avoiding places with poor service these days, so I will not be returning.
While waiting, my dining partner and I decided to share a cheese and chutney sandwich, a portion of chips, and we also ordered a slice of triple chocolate and banoffee cake, along with an iced latte and a coke. The sandwich came with crisps and salad on doorstep bread and was presented beautifully. The chips were delicious. However, the cakes were a bit disappointing. Priced at £4.49 per slice, they were dry and small, in my opinion, overpriced. The staff were friendly and polite. The total bill of £24.60 for a sandwich, portion of chips, two slices of cake, and two drinks was on the expensive side, but it is common for garden centers to be more pricey. I would consider visiting again.
My husband and I went to The Terrace for lunch on Saturday 12th November. We were seated at a table and a young woman took our order for sandwiches. We were informed that there would be a wait for the baguettes, and when they arrived, they were just okay and not very impressive. The main issue was the strong unpleasant odor coming from the plastic tablecloth, which smelt dirty as though it had not been cleaned properly. This was a first for me at The Terrace. The cups and plates also had a stench of a dirty dishwasher. Overall, I was very disappointed with the experience and will not be returning. The high standards that I have previously experienced at The Terrace were not upheld on this occasion.
I wanted to give an honest review, we took my Nan out for lunch here after seeing on my website they catered for vegan diets too. Firstly we had to pay for our meals upfront which was weird in case there were to be any issues with food. I ordered the vegan burger which I ask if it was definitely all vegan after a Lot of places claim something is when it’s in fact only veggie) and was told the bun would not be vegan?? This shouldn’t of been advertised as vegan due to allergies. I ended up having the burger in bread, I didn’t think the meal was at all worth the amount paid for it which seemed quite steep, as well for the other meals ordered). And then found blue roll in my salad which I mentioned at the end was not a complaint) however I do think for this that something should of been subsidised or similar. The menu has great promise and a large selection which is great but for me as someone who eats vegan and has a dairy intolerance I wouldn’t go back due to the potential mishap of things being labelled vegan when they might not actually be. Sorry for the negativity : I did have a lovely oat latte
