Bidrage med feedbackMy experience at the beach restaurant with my 11-month-old and 2-year-old looking for lunch was disappointing. There was minimal interaction from the staff, just a quick request for payment. I felt that basic questions like 'Have you been here before?' and 'How old are your children?' should have been asked. The tables were dirty with what looked like ketchup on the highchairs and table, so I had to clean them myself. I had to ask another customer how to order food and was directed to the restaurant, where I had to wait to be seated but got ignored. I ended up walking to the till to place my order. The woman who assisted me was pleasant and patient, but I was told that my food would be served in takeaway containers without crockery, which was not ideal for dining with small children. Despite the quick service, my order was missing some items and lacked napkins or cutlery. I only found these essentials upon leaving. The beach was cold, and the kids' meal, which was a cheese sandwich, was not child-friendly as it had grated cheese instead of melted. It seemed like the staff assumed I had visited before, which was not the case. Overall, it was a missed opportunity for a great dining experience. Some suggestions for improvement would be to inquire about guests' previous visits, clarify the ordering process, and ensure a warmer environment for families with children.
Regularly visit and food and service always lovely. All freshly made food and a nice location into the bargain. My dad, in his 90s, goes with different family members when visiting and enjoys the fish and chips and a wee chat with staff and owners. Happily recommend for a relaxing lunch.
During our first visit to the cafe, we found the food to be good. However, the staff and service need improvement. The young girl who served us lacked manners and did not offer any pleasantries such as "thank you". She had an unwelcoming demeanor and appeared unhappy. Based on the poor customer service, I would not recommend this cafe and do not plan to return.
We had a wonderful afternoon with our family at Craigend on a hot summer day! Located near Cumbernauld, south of the M73, this garden centre was a nice place to visit. We enjoyed the large sand pit, where our oldest child could play and have fun (there was a £5 child entry fee). The sand pit was filled with toys that kept him entertained for about an hour. However, the cleanliness of the tables was disappointing as there was leftover food from previous visitors that wasn't promptly cleared. The food itself was delicious with generous portions and good value for money. I ordered a Chicken Pickle Panini with a Side Salad and a Cappuccino, and was satisfied with my meal. The garden centre was well-stocked with plants, and there was an interesting summer fair in one of the nearby buildings. The facilities were well-maintained, but it was a bit hot and stuffy inside - some more air conditioning would have been appreciated. Overall, we had a lovely Saturday afternoon trying out a new location as we explore more of Glasgow.
We live not too far away visit every now then. Unfortunately it's never a nice experience. There's always a funny atmosphere, maybe music would help. When we were in today the blinds were pretty far down so it was hard to look out at the lovely countryside. The young girl who served us today was very competent but most staff looked unhappy we were completely ignored by the ? manager when we tried to pay. She was intent on finishing her private conversation rather than serving us. On a positive note, the cakes were nice.
