South Sea Restaurant - NORTH HAMILTON

I spent $100 on dinner tonight. The wonton soup was flavorless, the wings had hair in the batter, the chicken balls were over-fried, and the broccoli was gelatinous. My children were asking about the chicken balls that we had tried at another restaurant, and we were here. We've ordered twice now and barely finished either meal. Very disappointed.

The food, price, and service at this restaurant are excellent! The quality is always consistent. We decided to try a place located on Rymal Rd. and Nebo in the Strip-Plaza of Longo's, as we live in Mud and Winterberry and wanted to support a local business. It was good for a while, but after the pandemic started, the quality of the food declined. Now, we prefer to go back to South Sea and drive to Ottawa St. as it never disappoints us.

Love their food excellent every time we order usually egg rolls with our order and various dishes highly recommended every time, there at any time of the year service is great food is wonderful

We met this place 30 years ago after drinking in some local bars and the decor is still the same cool old school Chinese themes. I had a combination plate for one that had S.S. chicken balls, lemon chicken, general chicken and...rice. It was a lot of food, but unfortunately everything tasted the same. The 3 different chicken dishes were all broken and deep fried, but different forms and had three different sauces, but quite much tasted the same. I thought the general chicken had some spice, but it wasn't. The rice was very dark and had no taste except the sauces that covered it. The service was very good and I will give them another attempt, but something else.

Of course we ordered from there like we always do the food is very very good since there arent that many places i would eat chinese food from this one is awesome!!
