Bidrage med feedbackDelicious food, friendly service with lively music. We went mid-afternoon on a Saturday. While busy and they had an amazing band playing a wide variety of cover music, my date and I were still able to hold a conversation, enjoy the water views and the music as well. I found this hidden gem only because I looked on Yelp for something close to where I was with outdoor dining. This little yet lively place far exceeded my expectations.
Cactus Jack Waterfront Bar Grill, Marinatown Ln., N. Fort Myers, Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter. As the name implies it is on a river waterfront. So for those very very very few day that you are allowed to enjoy comfortable weather this is a good place to go. My server Cory did an outstanding job. I went with beef enchilada. No fried beans. : I will say this. I was surprize about the black beans. It actually had flavor. You could see onions in it. Unlike every other place I have tried where the black beans are bland. Ahh the beef enchilada and rice. Nothing to write about. Just bland rice on the side with typical floridian wannabe Mexican food. Maybe other good stuff but pass on this entree, unless you like black beans. This has a good ambience feel. So give it a try for that. Prices at lunch were reasonable.
After reading some of the revues before me I have to assume something has changed. First trip to Cactus Jacks and I have no complaints at all. Went by boat with four of us and everything, Hamburger, Shrimp, Beef Taco's and the BLT (loaded with bacon) was excellent. Onion Rings we ok and Fries were good. Beer was Cold and staff very friendly. Definitely will be back!
What an unexpected surprise spontaneously dining here. Truthfully, our first impression was skeptical, it was somewhat dated and the waitress was at first, not particularly engaging. We decided to stay and not judge a book by its cover. We discovered they are under new management and renovations are coming. It was our waitresses second day and therefore she was somewhat anxious and she turned out to be delightful when we assured her, we understood. The menu is changing from the previous one and each meal the 4 of us chose, was delicious. We are so glad we stayed. We wish the owner the best of luck and look forward to returning again and again
We were excited to try this place given its waterfront location and cute set up. We were greeted in a friendly manor by a gentleman wearing his mask under his chin. Once we made it to our table our server came over and removed her mask to speak to us. At that point we decided to move on to a different restaurant. Regardless of your beliefs on masks, all food establishments should be expected to follow recommended safety guidelines. We wondered what else was lacking in that area and just weren't willing to take the chance. If you don't care about masks and are cool with a smokey patio, the atmosphere is cute and the staff seems friendly enough. We didn't stay long enough to try the food.
