Barrelman Tavern - North Chicago

A great place for dog lovers. I took a dog to the place and I was nervous, since usually he's not too used to big groups of people. However, he had loads of fun and got tons of attention and pets. Can't wait to bring him back here!

Husband n wife owner Aprreciate the beer selectio changes fast. They know the story behind everything they offer. Seasonal local Alysian Night Owl Pumpkin Ale i cant get enough right now.

Travis, the owner, inadvertently made a kinda rough night for me way better. Excellent service, filled with dogs, and a good old fashioned. Will definitely make this a go to spot when I come to visit my sister on the north side.

Barrelman is an oasis. Yes, this place checks all the boxes, but it is however far from the “check the box” culture we look for when reading restaurant reviews online. You really have to step in to get the true vibe. This human and dog-friendly establishment is driven by its passion for community and love for the industry while providing a cozy, welcoming experience every time we go. If you’ve ever wanted a bar “where everybody knows your name”, but cleaner and nicer, then Barrelman should technically be the only bar you ever go to for the rest of your life. Did I mention they’re dog friendly

I did not eat here but the server was so welcoming and friendly, his name is Travis!. Great neighborhood bar. I felt welcome, amazing bartender, knows about tequilas, affordable prices. Peaceful vibes. Can I just say again that our guy Travis was amazing! I will be back!
