Cafe 24 - North Charleston

At first, I found it to be a bit pricey, but when I saw the portion size after opening my plate, I was pleasantly surprised! The quality of the food was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast.

My boyfriend and I, originally from Texas, decided to stop in for breakfast without any specific plans. Much to our delight, we were met with exceptional service. The food prepared by Mama Lizzie was nourishing for both the body and the spirit. Every dish was served with care and a welcoming smile. Highlight dishes include the shrimp and grits and lima beans, which were the best we've ever had. We are already planning a return trip to Charleston just to dine at Mama Lizzie's again.

After 20 years of being open, it's clear why this restaurant has stood the test of time. I first discovered this hidden gem in college and still love everything they serve to this day. The owner, Mama, has the best energy and treats everyone like a member of her own family.
