Valois' - North Bay

Had an enormously good homemade chicken pancake and was too full to taste the freshly baked cakes for dessert. Great view from the restaurant. As a guest of Valois you have full access to the docks and beach. Rooms are outdated, but clean and very affordable. We were very happy that this place was available and we have one of the last rooms available, would never have tried differently!

Stopped by the restaurant, took a great meal, especially the fish and chips and I was honestly blown away from the quality and how it tasted, and not get me to start the prices very reasonable. The view from the terrace is unbeatable and honest an unforgettable visit for me. A must to visit when you are north. 10/10 visit. Oh and the staff was great!

Harvey was super courtesy and friendly, he drove to us late on a Friday night so we could get our room for the night. The motel is very sweet though obsolete (depending on what seems to add to its charm). It is also directly on the Ottawa River and guests have access to the docks that are beautiful. Our room was also very clean.

The last 2 meals I had eaten here were great and also the service. The fish stands itself and does not need tartaric acid sauce, the dough is so delicious. A small lemon and perfection. Large Greek salad option and poutine is also good. Also their deep-fried cheese curds as an appetizer and they were also delicious. The views speak for themselves, an ingenious culinary experience

Can we give 6 stars? The most beautiful location and a wonderful team. We stopped here during our drive across country so we didn’t have a reservation. The rate was super reasonable $115), room was clean and there was a great restaurant on site. There’s also a dock for guests, patio chairs and picnic benches. That’s not the best part though the team that works there is so friendly!! Highly recommend!!
