The Viking Chippy - North Ayrshire

I had a Haggis supper tonight. The chips and Haggis were okay, but not as good as usual. However, the batter was extremely chewy, almost like Toffee. Please improve your food quality!

I ordered a hamburger meal to go and was disappointed. The chips were fine, but the hamburgers had a terrible taste and smell. I tried a second one and it was the same. When I went back to exchange them, I was told that because I had already taken a bite, there would be no exchange or refund. I was frustrated by the attitude of the staff, as I wanted them to try the burgers themselves to understand the issue.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The chips were greasy and limp, clearly not freshly cooked as they were served immediately. However, I must say that the staff were very pleasant.

The price alone is dreadful £20.30 for 2 suppers and needing to pay £6.30 to add cheese and gravy to said suppers with a price like that you’d expect it to be half decent but it wasn’t my pizza crunch didn’t have any cheese or gravy on it and the chips in both suppers tasted and felt like they had been dip in the fryer was closer to mashed potatoes than chips if I’m honest would like a refund but was to busy to go back so decided just to bin the stuff instead definitely don’t recommend and won’t be back!

Had memories of this being the best place for a fish supper in Largs. Wondered why it was so quiet but took no notice as it was a warm day. Meals were just awful! Soggy batter on fish...daughter was sick later in the evening after sausage supper and all 4 grand kids left their chips. Never again.
