Yendidi - Norfolk

The food is terrific! My husband and I ordered chicken stew and oxtail stew with coconut rice. Great service too. We highly recommend!

Visiting from Houston on a Sunday afternoon, I expected a stellar experience from word of mouth and Google reviews. I was so disappointed, they opened later than scheduled and then they told us that we could not dine inside due to staffing issues. We wanted the full experience of this restaurant, but settled for the to go option. My partner and I ordered food and we found out that we received the wrong type of rice which I thought would be a simple fix so I called the restaurant BEFORE drove back to see if they had the proper rice that we originally ordered and if they could have it ready by the time we got there. The OWNER asked a staff member to verify that they did have it and when we got to the restaurant the had apparently ran out and had not kept their word to fix their mistake on our order. Instead they told us that it would take too long to make. I am so sad to say that this ruined my African food experience here in Norfolk.

This was the first time I've tried African food. I had the Vegan Spinach Stew. Aside from the excessive grease/oil floating on the top, it was a very well-balanced and flavorful stew. I loved it and would definitely order it again. It was a nice sized portion. ??Parking: Limited number of spaces in front of the restaurant. There might be a couple spaces on the side street.

Located on a little strip of stores, parking can be tough but i mean it is norfolk. Walked in got seated right away, food took alil time but man. That Egusi is straight fire. I forgot all about the wait at that point. Their was one waitress and she was slammed but super sweet. I've had the fried chicken and the grilled and the grilled is better somehow but both are amazing. Just writing this makes me want more.

Hi!!! congratulations to you, I ate OKRA and PLANTAIN FUFU frankly I want to come back to eat tomorrow if I have the opportunity but you have to see the place again it's really pretty and a purely African vibe but it's is restricted. I liked your food. I just want to stay in Virginia after this day?
