The ladies are always friendly and quick to serve us...also remembering what we order. Maybe we go too often...but enjoy the hot dogs too much not to. Keep up the great work ladies!

The Dawg Shack, Norfolk, VaThis place is located at the intersection of Little Creek Rd and Chesapeake Blvd behind the Shell gas station and in the strip mall. I didn't about this place. I'm not sure how long it's been there. Most of these hot dog places have a typical hot, maybe some sausages and if you're lucky, you may be able to get a foot long. This place had foot longs and they slice them down the middle and the chili got in the dog, DELICIOUS! I'd go here again. Good fries!

A recent newspaper poll rated this place at the top for its offering, so I wanted to be sure to visit it the enxt time I was close by. I found it in a strip shopping center, and I went in for my lunch around 1:30, well past the noon hour. It was empty except for me and the staff. I asked what they were known for, and the server/cook said the all-beef hot dog, so I ordered that with mustard, onions, and chili. I ordered FFs as well and a cup of ice water. The preparation was quick and efficient. The hot dog was a hot dog. The roll was a commercial roll. The chili came from a can. The fries came from a bag. Everything was OK and quite adequate. Nothing to praise in any way. It was OK. Can't figure out why it was rated so highly. The price was certainly right--HD and FF totaled $5.75 plus tip.

Dawg-alicious. I stopped by the Dawg Shack for a quick lunch. It was just that. Very speedy and friendly service. I ordered the foot long with fries and a Diet Coke. So here is the rundown. Good juicy perfcetly grilled dog. Beefy and Salty without being greasy. The bun was soft and fresh and I especially like that they steamed it to get it soft and warm. The toppings were delicous. Fresh and crisp onions. They have Coke Products so thats a BIG plus. The fries were crispy and hot. Really enjoyed them I like the Dawg Shack, I'll be back, Check them out!
