Stripers Waterside - Norfolk

The restaurant offers a fantastic water view, but they were missing some items on the menu.

Can you please clarify why I was charged a 12.5% tax at the restaurant, when the tax rate in Norfolk, VA is only 6.5%?

This was our first visit to the restaurant, and we were very impressed. Our server was attentive and the service was quick. My wife had the salmon and loved it, while I ordered the shrimp and grits which were delicious. We are excited to come back again soon.

Are they under new management? the menu changed and eating was less than we remembered from previous visits.

Good location, TERRIBLE service, mediocre food that's priced for the location, not the quality. My sandwich was burnt, and cold; when I brought this to the attention to the server, he seemed unconcerned. We waited quite a while to get served, longer to get the appetizer, and then again to get the food by this time, it wasn't worth it to send it back. To be fair, they didn't charge me for the sandwich, so at least they did that much. The other food at the table was nothing special. Won't be returning.
