Starr Hill Market - Norfolk

We visited on July 4th, and unfortunately, the bartenders were quite rude and seemed annoyed by the presence of customers at the bar. As I tried to place an order, two different bartenders simply walked away. Even though I was alone, there were two other parties nearby who were also ignored for about 15 minutes. Eventually, I decided to leave without ordering a drink and went across the street to Grain. There, we ordered several drinks and food, and we had a fantastic experience.

I recently visited Norfolk for the weekend, and while exploring the beautiful Waterside District with my friends, we were looking to stop for a drink. We found ourselves in a large mall-like area filled with various restaurants. Since we only wanted a quick drink, we decided to look for a bar with the best reviews. We almost missed this place because it’s situated right in the middle of the expansive lobby! It turned out to be exactly what we needed. I really appreciate Alex for crafting a fantastic drink tailored to my tastes—truly a skilled bartender!

This is a fantastic place for people-watching and relaxing during happy hour. It was pretty calm when we visited. They have large TVs, making it easy to catch the game or just chat with friends. Since it’s located in the heart of the Waterside complex, it’s not exactly a serene spot, but it's perfect for enjoying some food and drinks. The staff is also very friendly!

Service was terrible, was completely ignored for about 25 minutes. This was a Friday evening at 4 pm and around 5 people sitting bar.
