Bidrage med feedbackThe woman who seems to run the place and acts as host is lovely. The waiting staff are incredible the chef knows the secrets inherent in the dishes. The restaurant is clean and cared for. Parking was easy. Perfect place for a few colleagues to grab a bite.
We came for the twice-monthly vegan buffet. It was tasty, and in south side Hampton Roads, this one of the very few venues that offers a wide range of vegan meals.
The food was fantastic. Unfortunately it seemed like they were short-staffed (no bartender) so the service was a bit....unusual....and slow. We were in no hurry and enjoyed each other's company as we waited, but would have like mixed drinks. We were told only beer or wine because they didn't have anyone who could make drinks. Once the food all arrived, we were very pleased!
Quiet on a Sunday night, there was no waiting for a table and with a decent looking buffet available, why not? Of course, the problem with buffet is that it's not going to be very spicy and it's a challenge to keep the variety of foods from getting cold, even with warming dishes. A very good spread including chicken curry, white rice, naan break, pakora, even lamb biryani. Nothing especially spicy which was unfortunate, but what they did have was tasty. At least 15 different varieties, all good. The rice pudding and the carrot pudding were both very good too. Service was good at taking away empties. I would return, but next time I'll order off the menu instead of the buffet.
I really enjoy the food at this restaurant! I highly suggest trying the Chicken Malai Kebab.
