Denny's - Norfolk

I wanted eggs for dinner and glad I stopped this Denny! Super friendly, excellent service and my ALL AMERICAN SLAM was delicious, egg yum, bacon crispy, sausage links so good. And the LUMBER JACK was perfect.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a Denny?s still on Newtown Road, Va Beach. It's been a while since I was in the area. But I remember there was a location directly opposite the current location. People, if you didn't try the pancakes at this point (salute to the 2:30 chef), they were the most fluffy cakes I had in awhile. It was a cloud of pancake heaven, but formed in a circle. Try it yourself. Your mouth will thank you. The server, like most places? there is usually one. He (host, server, cashier), Robert P?.war attentive, well managed and supported all in time. Price? very reasonable.

The good: The pancakes, hash browns, and bacon were good. The fries (I tried some were okay, and the chicken strips were fine according to the 13 year old with me. I didn?t particularly like the chicken strips (I tried some , but they were fresh. Overall, the food was good but nothing special. The bad: The seat (booth were we sat was very sticky. We literally had the sound and feel of being stuck when we stood up. The waitress wasn?t too attentive, but she was friendly. (Note: This visit was during the worker shortage and you could tell they were short handed.

Star was an amazing server, food was absolutely **** delicious. Me and my friend ordered Steak with corn and potatoes, build your own burger with onion rings. Steak was perfectly medium rare, tender, and delicious. Corn was perfect, potatoes were as well. Build burger was, you guessed it, amazing same with onion rings. Bless these people and this food.

Received free green stuff included with my eggs. Server only came by twice, once to take my order and once to drop off food so never got to say anything to the staff until I was fed up and wanted to leave. I had to stand by the cash register to get someone to notice me to get my bill so I could pay and go. Edit: I have been in the restroom almost the whole rest of the day with a stomach ache after an hour of having food here.
