Baker's Crust - Norfolk

The service was good. My waiter didn't hover over me but he made sure to check up on me at least once both before and after the food arrived. The restaurant has a cozy feel to it and was moderately packed. The clientele is about 70/30 70% old and 30% young. I think this explains why my food was kind of bland. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great. I had a Benedict with fired chicken and bacon. The side potatoes were perfectly crisped and seasoned. The bacon on the Benedict was just a touch soft and the fried chicken was more like breaded baked chicken that lacked seasoning. I would not be surprised if they cater their food more towards their older clientele who happen to be the majority. Overall it was a beautiful restaurant with a cute cozy feel but I'll probably stick to burger night. On the upside I've noticed that they are generous with the wine pours.

My waitress, Precious, was exceptional. I highly recommend requesting her when you visit this restaurant; I suggest you do the same!

I really enjoy Bakers Crust! While the Norfolk location is nice, my favorite is the one in Chesapeake. I visited the Norfolk spot for lunch with a coworker, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was for lunch. The food was good! My only suggestion would be to offer larger pasta portions; perhaps a smaller junior size alongside the regular size. I found myself wanting just a little more. The pepperoni pizza was delicious as always; it never disappoints. As for the service, it was decent—nothing extraordinary, but good enough.

I absolutely love this place! The food is consistently delicious. I had the Charleston Chicken Avocado, which features buttermilk fried chicken, honey beurre blanc, avocado, applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, honey mustard, and a brioche roll, served with a side of house-made parmesan chips (note that it’s not available as a combo). The chicken is full of flavor without being greasy, and the avocado is wonderfully creamy. The honey mustard adds just the right touch, while the brioche bun is divine, and the bacon is fantastic! I really enjoyed the parmesan chips as well. My daughter ordered the Malibu Sandwich, which includes sliced roasted turkey, avocado, mozzarella, cucumber, tomato, arugula, herb mayo, and multigrain bread, alongside a side of the same yummy parmesan chips. It was excellent! Our server was very pleasant and not at all pushy, frequently refreshing our water and iced tea.

A good breakfast/ brunch spot. The service was fast even though it was very busy. The Swanky Benedict was very tasty and seasoned very well. My **** Mary was very strong and delicious. I would come here again.
