Had a late light lunch consisting of the house antipasto (starters): bruschetta, cold cuts, cheese, olives, home made bread. Slurp, and very reasonably priced. Evening meal began with a round of three bruschettas; first course, soup or pasta; second course, grilled meat and vegetables. for vegetarians, local cheese. Delicious homemade dessert to end. Copious quantities of good local red wine.
After walking through the Castellucio meadows which are truly stunning in May and apprently become even more wonderful through June, we were hungry but it was 3.30pm and lunch was over. We sheepishly asked at Il Guerrin Meschino if we could get anything to eat there, and they were only too happy to mobilize the forces adn prepare anything we wanted even if it wasn't on the menu! The food was simple and wonderful. the setting, with a balcony overlooking the entire valley, is stunning. And when it got too cold outside, we were welcomed indoors. Even the pets are friendly!
Even if nn needed another confirmation of the goodness of this local dishes always well done nothing to say if nn good service excellent price absolutely right for the proposal
