Bidrage med feedbackWe had looked on line at their menu and prices, and thought they seemed reasonable. When we arrived we were met by a sour faced woman, taken to a table at the back without a view, and discovered the menu prices were considerably more than cited on this obviously outdated web page which should be removed. Ordered the schnitzel, was asked if I wanted a half serve, but chose the 'full size '. So paid the inflated price, PLUS a credit card surcharge which we were not warned about either verbally or by a sign. Was extremely disappointed when my meal came out and the schnitzel was child size. It was as tasteless as the few soggy chips and tiny serve of watery salad. Don 't bite the tourist hand that feeds you because we 're told locals don 't eat here and we certainly won 't be back.
A nice Sunday lunch over looking the water with friends. A variety of seating options, a nice selection of items on the menu, with spanner crab on mini brioche selected, full of flavour and nicely presented, the service was OK.
Beautiful spot went there with friends who had been there a couple of days before and said it was good and wanted to go back. I asked for my salmon medium rare and it was very well done and dry. My friend had the beef poke bowl and she said the meat was over cooked and the whole meal was nothing like it was when she had it a couple of days before. The men had fish and chips which were good . I got a flat white which was a cappuccino without chocolate on top coffee not great. They probably have different chefs so we will choose another day next time.
We have dined here numerous times and have found the food consistently good. Order at the counter and food delivery is always pretty quick. Today all the steak meals were perfectly-cooked, however the fish 'tacos ' were another matter. First off, stoggy, pancake-looking bases could never be regarded as tacos. There were almost left uneaten by the diners. The fish was also pretty miserable and the batter too thick. This was though, the first 'miss ' in may times dining there. But one wonders how it could be listed as 'fish tacos '.
My partner and 1yr decided to take me out for Mothers Day breakfast as we were staying right across the road, this looked like the perfect spot. Located right on the river front, gorgeous venue, however this was over shadowed by our meal. We ordered 2x Captains Breakfast, 2x Iced Chocolates and a side hashbrown half avo for our little one, totalling $75. When the drinks arrived, they were very milky tasting and not at all chocolatey, however they did have ice cream, not whipped cream. 1x Captains breakfast and the hashbrown and avo arrived first, the other meal arrived approx 5mins after. Meal was super disappointing 2 soft poached eggs on the hardest sourdough bread ever (actually couldn 't eat it due to it being more a rock than anything eatible), 2 slices of cold bacon wrapped up in a swirl, 1 'hashbrown ' which was a half inch thick and a finger length log of over cooked, deep fried mashed potato stick with a spoonful of tomatoe relish and 2 slices of sundried tomatoe. Also the eggs tasted like they were poached in lemon juice which was too over powering. At the price of $25 per meal, I 'd expect way better! Left disappointed and unlikely to return.
