Woodland Cafe - Nongpoh

Woodland is a great restaurant located in Nongpoh along the Guwahati-Shillong highway. The restaurant is well-maintained and offers delicious food. The washrooms are decent and the parking facilities are good as well. It's a convenient stop for travelers between Guwahati and Shillong.

I visited this cafe in April after a three-month hiatus and was shocked by its decline. The cleanliness is now non-existent and the service is almost non-existent. Even if you are able to find a clean table (which may have dirty plates on it), you have to call out loudly to get someone to serve you. The food quality has greatly decreased, much to my disappointment. It is truly sad to see a once great cafe deteriorate to this level. I would recommend avoiding it altogether. There are plenty of better options available in the area now. It pains me to leave such a critical review, but I feel I have no choice in this instance.

This is located in nongpoh, about half the way to shillong from guwahati. this place has long been and by far the best eating place on this stretch. the service is fast. basic standards of hygein can be expected. The foods are fresh, especially some things like hammel curry and chicken curry are really delicious. highly recommended.

The woodland cafe is located on the highway in meghalaya. beautiful and clean place. very good seating with cold brise which it refreshes. the ambiente is excellent, very close to nature. you can take a break while you have a trip and have quick food. good food, decent variety and served very hot. good service. it is budget hotel, not very expensive and yet the quality is good. I liked this place.

Woodland is great in Nongpoh for tummy filling..Parking available for about 100 cars..Cleanliness maintained..Toilets available n cleaned..tables around 40/50 available..infrint if the cafe there are other 2 counters available -Bread crumbs n tea/coffee..Readymade bread n snacks available as fast food. Potato fry n chicken fry...was simply good.. Chicken Biryani was waist of money.. Tawa roti was not upto mark.. Overall food quality was not that good as we expect however, people eats due to hunger..both Indian/Chinese foods available
