La Fontana - Nördlingen

In fairness, we only had drinks and pommes frites, all of which were good, but all in all average service, average food. Not a go out of your way for place.

The Italian inspired food is OK I had pasta, wife had a nice salad) was let down by the worse service we have experienced in Germany. We were ignored and even though we weren't in a rush, we had to ask for everything. The wine...came after the meal a real no no, in my books). It's a really nice place in the right position so it's always going to do well, but I would not go back. For info, this place had more pizzas than I have ever seen, but in fairness, they were bing done in a proper oven.

We had a three-night stay in Nördlingen. On the first evening we ended up at La Fontana for dinner after having checked the smartphone Tripadvisor app, which was positive about it. There were plenty of tables outside; no need to make a reservation, at least...not during our stay. Our meal was good enough to persuade us to come back on the next two evenings. The menu shows a relatively large choice for vegetarians. We experienced the service as pleasant and reasonably fast.

Whether to eat pizza, or special Italian dishes, or simply for coffee and cake. or just in the evening to take some drinks with friends. in summer, a great beer garden awaits you directly in the pedestrian zone in villages, fleeting staff. and freshly made eating. just in fish, that'll take a little bit, but that's worth it. also the drink card has not only standard. absolutely ask what they offer outside the card to eat and drink.
