Have had consistently good food here, although service can sometimes be slow. Worth the wait though. Ask for the vegetarian/vegan menu (it's green).
Great vegetarian/vegan restaurant in the southeast Melbourne
Many dishes at this restaurant can be made vegan. One of the owners is vegetarian and she confirmed that separate tools are used to prevent cross-contamination. They also offer mock meat options and allow customers to bring their own containers for takeout. The portion sizes are generous.
We had a delightful experience on our first visit, enjoying a tasty combination of satay and delicious laksa. However, our second visit was disappointing. The service was strange and despite specifying that we were vegan, we were offered chicken or seafood rice paper rolls, which was concerning. The sweetcorn soup was average, but the Tom-Yum soup was overly sour and difficult to eat. The sweet and sour tofu lacked flavor and was served in a bland sauce. The Satay skewers were decent.
