I then tipped the guy 20% not realizing that I got ripped off. We were the only table in the place but they stated that needed to hold my card to order food. This was 2.5 hours before they closed. I attempted to call several times and no one would answer the phone. I spent $100+ plus for 2 burritos and a bowl. The food was moderate. Nearly $20 for a burrito with no sides, chips, or salsa. I have eaten several a California style burritos in California, and this isn't the same. Maybe Moe's meets Taco Loco.Sour cream is $1.50guacamole is $3.50They have a bar with no fountain drinks.
Order number 752241105We got into town late the night of October 6th and placed an order on your website at 11:43pm. It said that you were open until 2AM. When we walked to your business we saw employees leaving and shutting the lights off. I would just like to make sure the transaction is canceled and I am not charged for the order.I have emailed twice and called 5-6 times no one picks up the phone. The money has been taken out of my account now. I would like a refund since we didn't get any food.If you're not open the website shouldn't allow people to place orders.
What a scam. I came here because I moved to the area 6 months ago and wanted something that wasn’t Chipotle or Moe’s. I order a giant carne asada bowl with extra carne asada. My total comes out to roughly $34 and I leave a $5 tip on a carry out order. Seeing the receipt, I was charged for a regular sized bowl and when I inquired, I was charged roughly $12 difference to make it a giant bowl. We’re now at $46. The waitress proceeds to hand me a 7inch aluminum container that would look more like a lunchable for a middle school teen. I try not to let it bother me but I quickly return and confirm that it was a giant and the waitress explains that they have no bigger containers. She said if I wanted I could get some extra rice in the side. What this restaurant serves in exchange for what you pay is an insult. Don’t get scammed here.
I honestly don’t understand this place. The food is SO expensive $1.75 to add shredded lettuce to a burrito… yikes! , but the quality of the food is honestly mediocre at best. I will only go to this place when all other Mexican restaurants in the area are closed. The security guards outside of the restaurant are quite unsettling, too. I get that the restaurant is also a bar of some sort, but it’s the only bar downtown besides Chicho’s directly across the street that has to have security guards posted up outside of it which feels pretty uncomfortable when you’re just going there to order a burrito. The place is also unbearably loud at night, and wait times are pretty bad too. I had to wait 30 minutes for just a smoothie one night. It seems to me that the owner of the place is more interested in appealing to bar goers than running a restaurant, which is confusing since the place is obviously branded as a restaurant. You wouldn’t even know that the place is a nightclub/lounge without going inside the place, and even then, it’s not obvious until you see people headed to the back of the restaurant behind the kitchen. It’s beyond me how they fit anything back there that’d be large enough to resemble anything close to a club. The owner also just kind of hovers around everyone all night and doesn’t bother to interact with literally anyone, never smiles/welcomes anyone, and always has sunglasses on at night inside of his dark restaurant… which gives off a really weird vibe. It’s just a really odd place.
Food is just great and they’re always very nice. Favorite burrito spot in Norfolk by far. Only drawback is the hours of business but for the greatest burrito in the area it’s all good.
