Comilfo - Nieuwpoort

We dined at comilfo on February 14th. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, but we had to wait half an hour to receive the menu to choose an aperitif. Service was slow throughout the night. Even though the restaurant was fully booked, the staff seemed overwhelmed and some diners who did not have a reservation were rushed to finish their meals. Our Valentine's dinner experience was disappointing. This was not the first time we had been to this restaurant, but the quality of service has declined in recent years. We will be exploring other dining options in the new docks.

On Thursday night, I dined with three former colleagues at a restaurant. We ordered from the menu, and our bill came to 35 euros without drinks. We started our meal with a toast topped with four half mushrooms, four half asparagus, and some sauce. Unfortunately, five pieces of the toast had turned green, possibly due to a type of potato chip that absorbed all the sauce and became soggy. Luckily, we had some appetizers before our meal, or else I would have needed to find some fries to fill up on. The restaurant had a modern interior, which I appreciated. The service was average, nothing exceptional.

This restaurant is like many others along the Belgian coast that cater to weekend crowds. The interior is modern and you can enjoy a drink at the bar before your meal. However, the menu, which includes three courses, is priced at 65 euros and the food quality was lacking. The service was also quite impersonal, making the overall experience disappointing. This restaurant is not a must-visit in the area.

On vacation in new port and delicious food at columfo. Nice service, delicious dishes. The inside is tight and modern. A plus-point is the bar caprice, where we first drank an aperitific.

The last few years are looking out. We're looking for other nice addresses in the new port.
