L'ybane Bar Restaurant - Nice

Very enjoyed our meal here, great Lebanese cuisine and good atmosphere. it feels like people there really care about the place. it is worth pulling a road to foot from the most important tourist.

We did not have lunch before 14:00 when most (good) places were closed, and I was glad to come to this place. lots of space, a great location, ok prices and good reviews on tripadvisor; the reality is that eating is mediocre, simple. (suitable to be Lebanese) and we had a swarm of flying. the wine was decent, and it comes for only one person at a small price too.

We've been enjoying eating here yesterday. good menu, good eating, beautiful service. great to go to a restaurant where they listen to menu choices and advise without trying to sell. great value and a beautiful evening as a result.

Friends recommed we try L'ybane in Nice as it was friendly, reasonably priced and good food. The food was not very good but the service was terrible. The restaurant was not busy maybe two other tables besides us. It took forever to get someone to...take our order. I dont know what else they were doing as the other two tables were also waiting. The staff spoke English but it did not matter as the people dining were fluent in French so language could not be the issue. We did not order anything special or unusual but when we tried to give them our order for some reason they could not get it right when they repeated it. incredibly frustrating. Two people ordered appetizers and main courses and two people just ordered mains. For the one couple after a long wait they brought the appetizers and the main at the same time. Not ideal but no problem. LIttle cramped on the table but not worth complaining,. The couple that received the food did not start waiting for the other couple to get their order. Finally it was insisted that the people with the food start eating. Waiting for the other couple to get their food. Then looking for a server to bring the food. When they asked he waitperson when to expect the order she looked shocked. Food at a restaurant! After we could hear some yelliing in the back of the restaurant and eventually the owner came out to tell us that their order had been given to another table. Assuming that is correct and antoher table ordered the exact same there should still be an order sitting to be served. Of course there was not. No apology we waited for them to put in the order. THe couple that received their food offered to share and then were too guilty to start eating. The food was average, the service deplorable and i did not see any reason to ever return.

We have been here earlier and come back every time when in Nice. You can order other meals than meses of course but we take meses every time. Our helpful waitress recommended 6 different meses and red wine. They were tasty. It was a nice...dinner outdoors.
