The Clubhouse Grill

It is absurd to see less than 5 stars and I'm forced to attribute this to either some history that is no longer relevant or people just simply can't be satisfied with anything. Upon staying at the Pine and Sand resort (where my wife and I stayed during a recent visit) we got hungry as long local hikes and biking up long hills will do. Not feeling like making the hop to Morro bay, we decided to try out the on-site restaurant. Walking in we were instantly greeted by a fiery bundle of fun. Shannon our server was immediately engaged, interesting and made this a place worth going by sheer force of a million watt personality. We ordered as one often does when their confidence is not strong and faith in the quality of food not stratospheric. I got the shrimp tacos and she got the pulled pork. But then the food arrived... It was an onslaught of juggernaut flavors that made every bite delectable and fantastic. We felt like we were on an episode of Punked as the food did not match the salty little lounge suspended there in the beautiful hills overlooking the sea. How is it that this food is THAT good? Just no way! I inquired of our new friend how could this be? Raul she replied. He has been here 30 years and during Covid he revamped the menu and processes. Let me just say. Well done. Local restaurants take notice. You've been outpaced significantly by a local resort chef. Yes, it was THAT good.

Ate here for lunch on a Sunday recently and the food was delicious! The service, however, was incredibly slow. We had to serve each of our drinks ourselves. We even asked the waitress at one point for a refill and she never brought it. It was an hour before someone took our food order. It was unfortunate because this setting is beautiful with both indoor and outdoor dining options right along the water. They serve breakfast into the lunch hour, if you're into that too.

Love this place. Great, consistent food. A full bar. An outdoor patio for when the weather is nice. Friendly service. And not overly expensive. I personally enjoy their hamburgers. I've had their halibut and chips many times as well. Quite good.

Very nice place to go to have a snack, a dessert, a dinner and sometimes I have music for a couple hours in the early evening

I've had lunch, dinner and breakfast there. The food is very good, reasonably priced and servce excellent. The bacon,egg, avocado and cheese breakfast sandwich was outstanding, nice addition was the Sriracha mayo. Great coffee too. Well done!
