Oaklands At The Riverbend Inn

Our afternoon dinner was spectacular from beginning to end. the host was very friendly and helpful with our moms. we sat in the beautiful bright dining room that looked over a weinberg. our waiter kelson was very friendly and attentive and regularly reviewed us during the meal. the weeping list included a series of local weeping that were rated at a reasonable price. the mushroom toast was delicious as promised and our lunches were hot and served to our joy. we all enjoyed the delicious food and shared a delicious piece of ginger cake for dessert. I would highly recommend the oaklands in riverbend inn and look forward to a return!

My husband and I went for the Oyster special. We enjoyed some wine and also the pate plate...the oysters were amazing!!!!. Everything was great as well as the service from Cinthia. I would highly recommend a stop in to enjoy some food and wine even if you are not staying at the Inn. Please ask for Cinthia...you will appreciate her exceptional service

Generally a lovely spot for dinner but our last visit was quite poor. The Arctic char had a hunk of cold butter under the fish skin that did not melt. When I inquired if this was on purpose the server replied it was. I watched our neighbours receive the same fish dish w melted butter, no cold hunk. The duck rillettes came out with the fat separated as a thick white layer on top forcing the dinner to mix it w the baby spoon provided. Since it was very cold this proved difficult and did not mix well and tasted terrible. One of us has an allergy and when asked if a dish was okay to consume the server replied with I am sure it 's fine. Not the reply one wants to hear when an allergic reaction could occur. Additionally, the pickerel was quite small for a $50 dish. We have decided not to return.

Excellent lunch time meal with great service. Ambience is great and views of the vineyard are attractive. I will definitely be going there again.
