Corks Wine Eatery - Niagara-on-the-Lake

Went here for a late dinner while walking around Queen Street. Very friendly staff, decent decor and clean place. I ordered the soup of the day which was a red pepper and tomato soup, along with the muscles. The person I was with ordered the Falafel wrap which was tasty but very dry and not much chickpea filling at all. The muscles were undercooked and about 10 of them never opened so those were inedible and the broth was so lemony. I love muscles and order them whenever I see them on a menu but these had a strong seafood odor and the broth was just way undercooked and tasted of purely undercooked wine and lemon. The soup was very good though. Overall I would not return here. The staff was very friendly but the food just was a strikeout this visit.

We come to Niagara on the Lake every year and walk pass this restaurant. Today we decided to eat here since there was no crazy line. We were here around 5:30pm. Service was very friendly. Drinks came quick and kids meals came super quick. Quite big portions for kids. Choices for kids were fish and chips, chicken or pasta. We went with the fish and chips and it had 2 pieces of fish for 22. Quite a big deal. We enjoyed it. Fries were done well and big portion. Fish was not soaked in oil. Will return for sure. They are rated 1 in the area for fish and chips that makes sense. We saw people order mostly fish and chips. But other food items looked good as well. Only down size was the bathroom being downstairs.

Atmosphere Very nice. Situated on the main street of town, the restaurant feels like you are dining on the front porch of a friend's screened in patio. Service Very Good. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. Food Very Good. The menu is varied and interesting. I had the pork schnitzel and substituted poutine for the potatoes. The schnitzel was very good. It was tender and tasted great. The poutine was a bit too salty, but was good. Overall Value Very Good. I am puzzled by the many poor reviews. My experience was as good or better than my dinner at Zee's Grill (a 4 star rated restaurant)

Patio was very hot, at least gor lunch.Our host was great, food tasted very good and the place was clean.Though, bathrooms were downstairs and very cramp.

Location is perfect, right on the main drag in NOTL. They don't take reservations, but we got lucky and it wasn't crowded for dinner. We sat on the outside patio, where there were fans blowing, but it was hot. So hot that it became not enjoyable after a while. The menu has lots of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees. Our server was extremely good and got our drink orders quickly. I opted for the chicken Parmesan which was served with a side of pasta. Our food arrived very timely and everything was nice and hot. I had two chicken breasts and a plate of pasta....enough for two. The chicken was tender and the sauce was good. Service was great throughout the meal. A suggestion would be to provide coasters as we had water all over our table from all our glasses, and it was messy.
