Bidrage med feedbackI had not been to Rainforest Cafe in many years. I was very excited to take my young daughter for the experience. I as disappointed to see how much it had changed. The thunderstorm part was not like it used to be. It was short and unclimactic. The food was mediocre are best. I was quite disappointed overall. Our server was really nice though.
Rain forest cafe is always one of our favourite places to go with the kids. I find the options for kids are really good but the options for adults are limited. However, what we did order was very good. The restaurant is also very pricey. Overall kids had fun their bellies were full it was a great experience
Say down at 7:06pm, didn't see a server for 26 minutes. We had to call a manager to get some service, waited another 2 minutes before they came up. But, no apologies for the long wait, or anything... Didn't even get a glass of water or anything. Glad I brought my own water bottle. Took another 20 minutes to get our drinks.Food was not bad, but not amazing. The fries with the burgers were good, burgers were so so.Lava cake was good, but holy! The cake was cold, and because if that we could not cut through it, especially with a spoon. We had to get steak knifes and even with that, it was so difficult to eat it. But that made it funny. The food price, geez. Through the roof. Not worth the value.Smeet our a server was nice, but the service was seriously lacking. And then no thank you or bye... We don't know if he was supposed to be our server or not, because the manager said that she got a new server to take over, but he was in our section the whole time, so who knows if that's actually true.I also *love how they try to add on an extra local tax. Ask to have this removed or they add an extra 10% or so on top of your bill, on top of the provincial tax.Feb 19, table 30
Services-5/5 Mitchel was fantastic, very attentive and helpful.Atmosphere- 3/5 the thunderstorm wasn’t as loud as I was expecting, and the animals weren’t making as much noise as I remember from visiting 10+ years ago.Food- 0.5/5 CRAZY expensive for what you get. The appetizer sample platter was enough for a starter for 2 adults, but cost $40 which could buy two adults a full meal at another establishment. The food was one step above high school cafeteria. Additionally having no desert menu I ordered the volcano cake without knowing price or a size. I was expecting a medium sized chocolate lava cake at a price around $10-15. Not an underwhelming brownie construct with ice cream that cost $20. Our server was amazing and would have told me if I asked so it is partly my fault for assuming.Location- 3/5 Niagara is beautiful, and the restaurant is located 5-10 minute walk from the Canadian falls. The issue is parking. All parking around the restaurant is around $25 an hour, and we were visiting in the off season. More reasonable parking is a 15-20 minute walk away which wasn’t easy in the winter.Parking: Insanely expensive.
To begin with, the atmosphere is wonderful and fun. I really enjoyed that and hadn't been since I was a kid. The service was also great. Our server, Mitchell, was kind, courteous and friendly. However, as others have said, the main issue? The quailty of the food and the price of that food. EVEN if the food quality were substantially better? The prices would be high. Considering the current quality of the food? The prices are an ABSOLUTE JOKE. Beyond exhoribitantly priced for what they're serving. The spinach dip was the same quality as a jar of tostitoes I bought from the gas station, left half finished and open on the counter for two days, and then microwaved it. The desert? Essentially an entire box of boxed mix brownies surrounding four scoops of okay icecream.I witnessed at least one other family choose to leave before ordering after seeing the prices (I also clearly heard them blame the prices for leaving).I really hope the food quality is addressed in the future, but even then, the prices are NOT worth the experience for most families or couples. You can literally go to a high end restaurant and get better food for less.Staff were great, service was excellent, and it's a beautiful location. Unfortunately that is currently overshadowed by the insane prices and unacceptable quality of some of the dishes.
