Ota-ya Japanese - Newtown Township

OT-YA has the best sushi in Newtown. It’s ten times cheaper than some Asian restaurants in Newtown. The sushi is fresh. The staff is friendly. I would go there week.

Been coming here for years and it has always been amazing. When the owner Marina knows you by first name when you walk in l, that says something. Can’t go wrong with anything you get here.You HAVE TO get basil sandwich either tuna or salmon.

I think this is the hidden gem of Newtown. It's a little tucked away but easy to find. The owner, Cindy, took our take-out order over the phone. She was friendly and attentive and helpful. The restaurant is small but very cozy. We ordered a bunch of different sushi rolls, Udin noodles, and chicken teriyaki. Everything was delicious and prepared perfectly. As stated, we ordered take out, but will definitely be back to eat in. If you're in the mood for sushi or just Japanese in general, skip the grocery store pre-packaged rolls and plan a trip to OTa-Ya.

Love love love this restaurant! We were told that the one in NJ is better but we couldn't disagree more. The ambiance is way better here, the service was fantastic and the food was so incredibly delicious! We will be back, for sure. In fact, I can't wait to go back!
