Dutch Country Salads Desserts - Newtown

Smucker's is located within the Newtown Farmers Market. They provide a diverse selection of prepared side salads, along with freshly made breakfast and lunch options.

Be sure to double-check the bill when you're at this restaurant. Recently, I purchased four items and was charged $12.19. I didn't think much of it until I got home and looked at the prices on the labels, which should have added up to $7.99 total. It seems like basic addition is a bit of a challenge for them. The salads and puddings are decent, but nothing remarkable.

There was a bit of confusion between the order taker, dressed in traditional gingham and a bonnet, and the short-order cook manning the grill. However, they managed to resolve the mix-up, and I left with a hefty sandwich to enjoy at my desk. I must say, it was one of the best sandwiches of this kind that I’ve had the pleasure of savoring, bite by leisurely bite. The double egg folded over a generous sausage patty and two slices of American cheese was perfectly cushioned by a soft, fresh roll, creating a delightful culinary experience. It was truly a joy to eat! Any initial confusion was easily forgiven, especially when the final product can brighten your day. The sandwich was substantial and delicious, earning a spot on my short list of excellent local breakfast options. It’s unfortunate that it’s located in the farmers market and only operates three days a week. However, I also took the opportunity to stock up on goat's milk and kielbasa from other vendors while I was there. This spot offers all the Amish charm anyone could desire.
