The Sloop Inn, Hungry Horse

Food here was great, staff were friendly enough, if you are over 6ft then watch your head on some of the light fittings, I left with a little gash on my forehead. One table we sat next to were really friendly and chatty the other was disgusted that we had children in a family restaurant and were really rude, this sadly spoiled our evening and apparently theirs as they wanted a quite evening out I think they picked the wrong establishment. but not a down side on the hungry horse

Friendly people, delicious food, great portion, good price.

It's value but that's all. We were a large group but they would not take our order at the table so we had to write it all down and go to the bar. About £150 for 12 meals with drinks so not bad price wise. I had a roast and it was good apart from instant mash and the green beans which were not nice. Who adds instant mash to a roast

Typical Hungry Horse. Large portions of ok food. Great for a cheap meal with kids. Cheap drinks. Service was excellent

Ate here every day whilst on a short break. Food was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. Very good value for money. Thoroughly recommend The Sloop
