Bidrage med feedbackThis charming restaurant is definitely worth the effort to find. With its sophisticated decor, it's perfectly situated for exploring the eastern Dartmoor region. During our lunchtime visit, we enjoyed a serene ambiance, excellent service, and a delicious snack. The Kestor gained national fame a few decades ago when Dolly Parton became its most celebrated patron while visiting her music agent in the UK who lived close by!
My mom and I planned to have lunch in Widecombe, but the road was closed. We stumbled upon the Kestor Inn and decided to give it a shot. Fortunately, it turned out to be a delightful and welcoming spot with exceptional food. We'll definitely be returning soon!
This is my second visit to this charming inn in just a week, and I couldn't be more pleased! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. The food and drinks are top-notch, ensuring a wonderful experience for everyone. Additionally, it's dog-friendly, which is a fantastic perk! I highly recommend this spot. I enjoyed a delicious chicken and bacon salad, and you can see in the background the gammon steak that was completely cleaned off the plate.
I would give this place 6 stars for its service. They also have a good selection of beers and ciders on tap. The manager kindly allowed us to come in before opening hours so we could use the WiFi during a minor emergency. Once everything was resolved, we enjoyed a pint. The food looked delicious, and we would have loved to stay for a meal, but we still had some walking to do!
The food is simply outstanding! We enjoyed turbot and belly pork, both accompanied by a delicious sauce and fresh vegetables. The staff really went above and beyond to serve a packed pub. I wholeheartedly recommend Kestor Inn for dinner.
